A good movie does not need to have uber complex relations to be melodramatic, nor does it need have super complicated and unusual situations. I saw the movie Ded na si Lolo , and I think it is one of the best Filipino movies I have seen recently. The movie was cast with great actors (maybe except Rainier), we have Gina Alajar, Dick Israel, Elizabeth Oropesa, Roderick Paulate and Manilyn Reynes among others. The movie was directed by Soxie Topacio.
It is nice to see an indie movie that is not gay-themed.
